Forma / Plus Skin Tightening Lakeway Services
What is Forma / Plus Skin Tightening?
Forma / Plus is a painless, non-invasive radio-frequency (RF) procedure that promotes collagen remodeling and ultimately skin tightening on all areas of the face and body.
Forma / Plus skin tightening is safe for all ages and skin types. Ideal candidates are those patients who have mild to moderate loose or sagging skin on the face, particularly in the jowl area, neck, thighs, knees, upper arms, abdomen, or back. Those with a significant amount of sagging or loose skin are not good candidates for Forma or Plus treatments.
Forma / Plus works by slowly heating the skin to a specific and maintained temperature for a set amount of time which causes the existing collagen in the skin to become “injured”. The body responds to this “injured” collagen by producing more new collagen, replacing the “injured” collagen, which results in a firmer, tighter appearance.
Unlike other RF devices, Forma / Plus has a built in temperature sensor which allows the practitioner to achieve an optimal set temperature without the concern of over or under heating the tissues providing optimal results. This device removes any potential for burns as it will automatically turn off the heat in millisecond increments if it is passed over an area that has already reached the set temperature and will turn back on to heat other areas that are not yet at the set temperature. An ingenious safety feature!!!
The treatment is painless and feels like a warm massage. Forma / Plus works slowly over time to build collagen and tighten the appearance of the skin. For best results a series of 5 to 8 treatments performed once per week is recommended.
